- Last Updated 01/08/2013 - The Minnesota Volunteer Attorney Program (MVAP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created by the MSBA's Board of Governors in 1982. MVAP, in conjunction with the MSBA, provides many services in support of lawyers providing pro bono services in Minnesota. MVAP has supported the creation and maintenance of the www.projusticemn.org website, which provides resources for pro bono attorneys. MVAP also supports pro bono coordinators at legal aid organizations, coordinators at pro bono programs, law firm pro bono coordinators, and others, by hosting meetings and helping provide CLE opportunities and scholarships. MVAP is funded by grants from the Legal Services Advisory committee and the Lawyer Trust Account Board. For more information about these grants, please see www.mncourts.gov/lsac. In April 2008, the Wills for Heroes Program became part of MVAP. For more information regarding Wills for Heroes or how to donate to the Wills for Heroes Program, visit http://www2.mnbar.org/willsforheroes/. MVAP does not provide legal assistance directly to clients. If you are a client in need of pro bono services, please visit www.lawhelpmn.org for more information.
