  • November 6, 2007 (12:30 p.m. - Room TBA): Panel Discussion of Clerkship Program with former student participants and employers at University of St. Thomas School of Law. Lunch provided.
  • November 13, 2007 (12:00 p.m. - Room 103): Panel Discussion of Clerkship Program with former student participants and employers at Hamline University School of Law. Lunch provided.
  • November 14, 2007: Brochures and Applications Available
  • November 14, 2007 (12:00 p.m. - Room 225): Panel Discussion of Clerkship Program with former student participants and employers at William Mitchell College of Law. Lunch provided.
  • November 15, 2007 (12:15 - Room TBA): Panel Discussion of Clerkship Program with former student participants and employers at University of Minnesota Law School. Lunch provided.
  • January 25, 2008: Applications DUE at each student's respective career services' office.
  • February 11-15, 2008: Interviews for every student applicant with one or more members of the Selection Committee at the Minnesota State Bar Association Offices ("MSBA").
    NOTE: Following the submission of your application package, you will be notified by email of available dates and times for this interview. If you do not respond to this email, you will forfeit your right to an interview.
  • February 19, 2008: Selection Committee meeting to select student participants for the Summer 2008 Clerkship Program.
  • February 22, 2008: Students notified by US Mail of acceptance/rejection/waitlist status.
    NOTE: Law schools will be notified of acceptance decisions by this date as well.
  • February 29, 2008: Deadline for students to notify MSBA if they accept position in Clerkship Program. If any student declines, a waitlisted student will be asked to participate.
  • March 3, 2008: Employers receive student materials in preparation of Employer / Student Interviews and students similarly receive employer materials in preparation of the same.
  • March 14, 2008: Employer and Student Interviews from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the law offices of Zelle, Hofmann,Voelbel, Mason & Gette, LLP (500 Washington Ave S, Suite 400, Minneapolis, MN 55402)
    NOTE: This is a mandatory interview day and no make-up interviews with employers or students will be permitted.
  • March 21, 2008: Selection forms due by both employers and students.
  • March 24-27, 2008: Matching of students and employers by MSBA staff.
  • March 28, 2008: All student and employer participants notified via EMAIL of summer employment match.
  • April 25, 2008: All afternoon training session with student participants at the MSBA Offices (2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
  • April 2008: Students visit their summer employer for tour.
    NOTE: This visit is to be arranged separately by student and employer and not by the MSBA staff.
  • May 2008: Students begin summer employment
  • June 11, 2008: Welcome reception for all student and employer participants at Lindquist and Vennum.
  • July 2008: Happy hour for clerkship students in downtown Minneapolis
