The officers are elected by the Assembly and generally rotate on a four-year cycle among the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Ramsey County Bar Association, the outstate bar associations, and an at-large position elected by the Assembly.  The individual initially elected as Secretary, advances to Treasurer, President-Elect, and eventually President.
