Rule 2.4 reads:

All witnesses are gender neutral. Personal pronoun changes in witness statements indicating gender of
the characters may be made. Any student may portray the role of any witness of either gender.

For mock trial purposes:

Please assume that the military allows both men and women to serve on the frontlines in hostile situations.

(pp. 11)

Rule 4.11 reads:

Teams may refer only to materials included in the trial packet. No illustrative aids of any kind may be
used, unless provided in the case packet. No enlargements of the case materials will be permitted.
Absolutely no props or costumes are permitted unless authorized specifically in the case materials.
Costuming is defined as hairstyles, clothing, accessories, and makeup which are case specific.

For mock trial purposes:

Although Jamie Franklyn's witness statement states "...I will have to use crutches the rest of my life", there is no mention in the case materials that crutches are allowed as a prop. Hence, crutches are not allowed.
