The MSBA's Administrative Law Section Presents

"Regulatory Enforcement Under the Dayton Administration – Winning Compliance and Enforcing the Law"

Commissioner Ken Peterson and Commissioner Mike Rothman head agencies with broad authority to regulate businesses, professions and the work place. They will discuss their priorities for winning compliance and enforcing the law. As agency resources tighten, what alternative forms of dispute resolution does the agency employ? When does the agency refer a matter for a contested case hearing? How are the interests of businesses, their employees, and consumers balanced? What observations do they have on their first year in office? What initiatives will their agencies advance?

Each commissioner will make a presentation and there will be time for questions and discussion. Please join us for an interesting, informative hour.
