The MSBA's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section Presents
"A Proposal to Increase and Enhance the Use of ADR in Minnesota"
For nearly a year ADR practitioners and stakeholders in Minnesota have been meeting to discuss what policies would increase and enhance the use of ADR in Minnesota. This group is motivated by a belief in the value of these services and a feeling that Minnesota is lagging behind other states in the provision of these services. After investigating potential options, the group has developed a $1 million proposal to fund the state office of dispute resolution and create a grants program for community mediation centers. The presentation will include a brief overview of the status of ADR in Minnesota and how it compares to other states, exemplary states, and the contents of the proposal. Come and learn more about this proposal, share your insight, and find out about how to get involved with increasing and enhancing ADR in Minnesota.
