Antitrust cases rarely go to trial, but for the second time in three years, a jury has been impaneled in an indirect-purchaser antitrust case involving Microsoft.  This time it was Comes v Microsoft, which was tried in Iowa’s Polk County District Court for several weeks before the parties settled the case.  In this program, the presiding judge (Hon. Scott Rosenberg) will provide background on the case and some of the rules and practices he followed for the trial.  Then we will hear selected jurors respond to questions about the trial – what they liked, what trial themes came through, and more.

Prepared questions will be posted on October 8 for review at: http://www.abanet.org/antitrust/at-committees/at-trial/programs.shtml.

You can help build our program by submitting comments on these posted questions (or submit your own for the jury) to: IowaJuryProgram@Dorsey.com.

This program will be held via teleconferencing at the MSBA Offices. MSBA will apply for CLE credits for those attending.
