Presenter
Professor Robert Kudrle, University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs
The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat! U.S. and foreign antitrust rules seem to be diverging in a number of areas, with the European Union's recent ruling against Microsoft being just the latest example. Corporate counselors and businessmen cannot simply assume that structuring a transaction or a distribution program to comply with U.S. antitrust law is "good enough."
Professor Kudrle has recently completed a cross-border study of antitrust law and practice in Europe, the U.S., Canada, and East Asia. Professor Kudrle will explore the important differences among these legal regimes in areas such as M & A transactions, distribution restraints, and conduct by dominant firms.
Please click here to view Professor Kudrle's recent paper on these topics.
RSVP by Monday, November 12, 2007.
A plated lunch is included.
