The MSBA's Antitrust Section Presents
The Role of Antitrust in an
Evolving Health Care Industry
Passage of the Affordable Care Act and recent antitrust enforcement actions have focused public attention on competition in the health care sector of our economy. Our distinguished panel will discuss these important developments from the perspective of antitrust practitioner, health care provider and health insurance regulator. The topics they will focus on include the development of accountable care organizations, the Minnesota Health Insurance Exchange, practical problems of information sharing in an increasingly networked health care system, and the potential impact of pending cases examining the doctrine of state action immunity.
