Mission
& Goals
Mission Statement
To promote and refine the advocacy system as a just, efficient, and accessible
means of resolving civil conflict.
To foster public confidence in the civil judicial system; to improve civil
trial practice by promoting fairness, efficiency and accessibility in
the justice system; to serve as an educational resource for lawyers who
practice civil trial law in Minnesota, to promote collegiality among members
of the civil trial bar and the bench.
Goals
- Create programs that promote and advance Minnesota civil litigation
on behalf of parties, the bench and the bar;
- Create programs that improve the quality of justice;
- Create programs that promote efficiency in the civil justice system;
- Create programs that make the civil justice system more accessible,
such as pro bono projects;
- Provide Section members with information related to changes in civil
practice, court decisions and legislative initiatives;
- Foster public confidence in the judicial system; and
- Promote good working relationships among the bench and civil trial
lawyers.
