The MSBA's Communications Law Section Presents
"Class Actions Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act"
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) prohibits unsolicited telemarketing communications, notably “robocalls.” Class actions brought pursuant to the TCPA have been on the upswing, and can create huge monetary exposure for defendants. This CLE will provide an overview of leading recent TCPA class action cases and will highlight issues that companies defending TCPA claims ought to be aware of.
