"Areas of Concern in Governmental and Private Data Aggregation: A Case Study Using the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA Regulations on the Transportation Industry"

New federal regulations promote onboard computing technology to provide detailed information on drivers habits and behaviors in conjunction with their new Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA) system. Onboard computers track tremendous amounts of data which is turned over to the government during roadside inspections and onsite audits. This session will explore this issue along with possible legal and business issues of data aggregation by both the government and private companies.

Presenter:

Jon Selleys, TarioLegal, P.C.

Jon Selleys is of counsel at TarioLegal, P.C. in Bloomington, MN. Prior to practice, Mr. Selleys spent 7 years working with transportation companies consulting them on implementation and advising them on Safestat and CSA compliance.
