Criminal Law Specialist Certification

Following a survey of its members, the Section appointed a Criminal Law Specialist Certification Accreditation Committee. The Committee developed Proposed Standards that were approved by the MSBA Assembly. The Assembly also authorized the Section to submit an application to the Minnesota Board of Legal Certification to become accredited to certify attorneys as Criminal Law Specialists.

The application is currently pending before the MN Board of Legal Certification. Section members will be notified regarding whether the Board has approved the Section's application and any timeline for initiating the MSBA Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist program.
