"Regulatory Framework for Mining in Minnesota"
The recent resurgence of mining in Minnesota implicates both federal and state laws regarding mineral rights, environmental review, and permitting. This CLE will provide attendees an overview of this regulatory framework and include procedural insights from practicing attorneys, the MN DNR, and an environmental consultant.

Lori will discuss technical issues in permitting and environmental review for mining projects.
Aaron Vande Linde, Transaction Manager, MN Department of Natural Resources
Aaron will address leasing of state owned minerals.
Peder Larson, Attorney, Larkin Hoffman
Peder will address the state regulatory framework.
Aleava Sayre, Attorney, Leonard Street and Deinard
Aleava will address the federal mineral regulatory framework.
Paula Maccabee, Attorney, Just Change Law Offices
Paula will discuss legal aspects of the permitting and environmental review process for mining projects.
