"eCourtMN – The Foundation for Our Future"

In this presentation Judge Cahill will present about the vision for eCourtMN, Minnesota's electronic court. He will also discuss the technologies for electronic court services and show a brief demonstration of eFiling. In his presentation Judge Cahill will describe the potential benefits of eCourtMN from the perspective of attorneys and will answer questions for the group.

Judge Peter Cahill  
Peter Cahill has been a district court judge for the Fourth Judicial District since 2007. He currently serves as Chief Judge and is assigned to the criminal bench where he hears cases involving serious felonies and Minneapolis community court misdemeanors. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Cahill was in the Hennepin County Attorney's Office for ten years where he served as a violent crime prosecutor, the head of juvenile prosecution and finally, chief deputy county attorney. He also spent two years as an assistant public defender and eleven years in private practice.

He is a 1984 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, and a 1981 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts.
