Please join your General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Section colleagues for this interactive guide to QuickBooks designed specifically to meet the needs of solo and small firm attorneys. The session will address how you can effectively use the QuickBooks accounting application to manage your law practice finances - both your general accounts and your client trust accounts.

Our presenters will focus on what you really need to know, allowing you to hone your skills before year-end. You will receive understandable and useful tips, such as how to utilize QuickBooks to properly manage such client-reimbursable expenses as filing fees, courier and service fees etc. Client funds can present many traps for the unwary. This CLE will teach you how to independently track client funds held in trust. Even if you don't use QuickBooks, chances are you will be able to apply the lessons of this CLE to any lower-cost accounting software program.

In addition to your laptop and QuickBooks questions, please print out and bring one of the QuickBooks guides (for the version you use) to the CLE. You can find a guide at the Practicelaw.org section of the MSBA home page (www.mnbar.org).
