Please join your Health Law Section colleagues for a new round of monthly Health Law Section CLE seminars.

The initial Medicare Recovery Audit Contract (RAC) demonstration project lasted from March 2005 to March 2008. The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006 authorized RAC's nationwide expansion by January, 2010. Given the breadth of this demonstration project all health law practitioners should be conversant with the project's background as well as the status of the RAC project in Minnesota.

Our speakers are uniquely qualified to provide you with the background of the RAC demonstration project, as well as the results of the recent CMS RAC report, so you will be knowledgeable about the implications of this project for Minnesota health care. They will not only discuss the experience of hospitals actually audited in the demonstration project, they will guide you through the mechanics of the RAC appeal process, and provide practical suggestions for how to most effectively help your clients prepare for and survive a RAC audit.
