The MSBA's Immigration Law Section Presents
"Big Impact Litigation: How to Successfully Prepare Immigration Impact Litigation"
If you’ve ever wondered how Padilla v. Kentucky made it to the Supreme Court or Campos v. Minnesota made it to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, then this is the CLE you’ve been waiting for.
This is a CLE for all lawyers interested in litigating cases of first impression or advocating for a good-faith extension of the law. Our three panelists are experienced immigration attorneys who have litigated big impact cases from the immigration court to the appellate court, moving the law forward not just for their own clients but for immigrants to come.
This CLE will include:
1. Discussion of past impact litigation
2. Analysis of the steps/processes involved in impact litigation
3. Preparation of a case from District Court to Supreme Court
4. Q&A with panelists
