The MSBA's International Business Law Section Presents

"China: the country, the economy, and foreign investment"

Alan Thometz, Director of Transaction Advisory Services for Grant Thornton, has just returned from a one-year assignment in Beijing. Beginning with a brief overview of China and its economy, Alan will describe current inbound (FDI) and outbound (ODI) investment activity. He will then provide a more detailed discussion of cross-border risks doing business in China, common due diligence pitfalls, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). We hope you will join us for this interesting and informative event.

Alan Thometz, Grant Thornton
Alan has over twenty-five years of corporate finance experience and has held positions of responsibility in commercial banking, private equity, and investment banking.
