Experience/Training
I have been a teacher and mediation trainer since 1986. I attend
numerous conferences and seminars annually and am a frequent lecturer
at CLE programs on ADR. My earliest training: 1. The Dynamics
of Conflict, San Francisco Community Boards program, S.F.,
CA, 1985 (30.0 hours); 2. Advanced Mediation, Center
for the Dev. of Mediation in Law, Mill Valley, CA, 1985 (40.0
hours); 3. Introduction to Mediation, Center for the
Dev. Of Mediation in Law, Mill Valley, CA, 1984 (40.0 hours);
4. Collaborative Negotiation and Mediation, National
Center for Collaborative Planning and Community Service, Montpelier,

Mediations
I have mediated more than 1,200 commercial (i.e., non-family)
cases in 33 states and the District of Columbia. At least 300
of these have been employment disputes, including race, age, sex,
religion, ADA and sexual orientation discrimination; sexual harassment,
whistleblower claims; non-compete agreement issues, wage and hour
claims, etc.

Since becoming a full-time neutral in 1984, the employment field being my first love, I have made a point of staying current on significant legal developments, e.g., Farragher, Sutton, Ellert6, etc.
I published a 51-page law review article entitled Judicial Morphallaxis: Mandatory Arbitration and Statutory Rights, 24 William Mitchell Law Review, Vol. 2, 345 (1998)
