The MSBA's Practice Management & Marketing Section Presents
"Your Computers are Being Targeted by Cyber Criminals. Are You Protected?"
Cyber criminals are targeting businesses with increasing success. Huge profits have motivated hackers to evolve into highly motivated Cyber Criminal Organizations. Using technology and the cloud to share and store information is so commonplace that it's easy to forget just how insecure the Internet really is. Lawyers are not immune from becoming victims of cyber-crime. Many of us have received strange emails requesting us to verify information. More worrisome, cyber criminals are using the Internet to hack the computers in law firms as the easiest path to client information. The only defense is a well-informed, trained mind using the finest industry practices along with the best possible software and hardware.
Dean Hancy, PC Bits
Dean Hancy has been working in Information Technology since 1985. Currently the owner of PC Bits, Dean has been successfully fighting cyber-crime and helping his many clients stay safe for the last 7 years. His presentation on cyber-crime and Things You Must Do will be the best non-billable time you have spent in years!
