Against the backdrop of the Republican National Convention, federal, state and local government officials will be faced with the challenging task of weighing first amendment rights of free speech and assembly and ensuring public safety. This program will focus on finding a practical, workable balance to those potentially competing interests.
The first part of the presentation will examine the 1st Amendment and protest. Then our experienced panel members will open the conversation with insights from their diverse perspectives reflecting their experiences with City and U.S. Attorney's Offices, FBI, St. Paul Police Department, and the U.S. Secret Service.
This CLE will be invaluable to any public sector attorney interested in this challenging topic.
The annual meeting luncheon and awards ceremony will follow the CLE.
