Honorable George W. Perez, Chief Judge, Minnesota Tax Court

We continue our annual tradition of holding the May Tax Law Section meeting at the Minnesota Tax Court in St. Paul. Judge Perez will discuss the important issues currently facing the Minnesota Tax Court, as well as the types of cases the Court has been seeing over the last 12 months.

Prior to joining the Minnesota Tax Court, Judge Perez worked as a civil litigator in the areas of contracts and immigration. He also practiced with the Internal Revenue Service as an estate tax attorney. Judge Perez was appointed to the Minnesota Tax Court in November 1997, was reappointed in 1999 and became chief judge in January of 2001.
